ZunTzu

One of my playtesters reported that the link to install the game is not working:

They tried to install using Edge first, but it told them the file was missing. They tried IE next with similar results. This is the error:

404 Not Found
The requested URL /download/setup.exe does not exist.

I have a backed up install folder of the game that I send to players when they have trouble installing off the website, but I figured you'd still like to know the link is broken.

The link for the ZunTzu installation file is still broken as I write this.

I had an old "setup.exe" file from 2014 that I used to reinstall ZunTzu on my Windows 10 computer when the program started to act strangely. (It wasn't allowing me to open ZunTzu by clicking on gamebox [ztb] or saved game files [ztg]). Unfortunately the re-installation didn't correct the problem. I don't think there is a later version of "setup.exe" but maybe there is.

You say you have a whole folder of installation files that you send to players. Could you send/post a link to the folder with instructions on how to do the installation? That would be very helpful I think.

And if you're running ZunTzu under Windows 10 could you check to see if you can open gameboxes and saved games just by clicking on their zbt/ztg files? I can do it under Windows 7 and I used to be able to do it under Windows 10. Maybe the problem is related to a Windows 10 update.

I appreciate any help you can give.

Of course, after testing this successfully once, my router reset (coincidence?) and the first link now redirects to the second.

Towards the bottom of that page someone links to an zip of the install files (this is not mine, use at your own risk).

Unzip it anywhere you want and run the executable to open ZunTzu (no install needed).

Regarding Windows 10, you can manually associate the file type with ZunTzu (right click on the file, select "Open with..." and look under Other Programs for ZunTzu (may need to click browse and find the ZunTzu executable). Should be a check box to "always open with this app".

Still not working

Thanks again! Fixed, but for how long? The link keeps on breaking again and again. I have filed a ticket with my hosting service.

It is now fixed permanently.
