Floating Window...

Post by morval »

I'm still new to this so I may be missunderstanding how things work. I've been working off of the Zombies gamebox as an example.

Games, like Zombies, that do not have a set board size, but simply draw tiles that make a board can not really have their card piles, discard piles, token piles, etc. on the main board or you would be rearanging things so the board can fit all the time. The the designer of Zombies, quite rightly, put all the stuff on a 2nd tab. But I find it annoying to have to go back to that tab to get things to put on the main board.

I think it would be nice instead of Tabs to have the option of making the tabs into floating windows. This area you could put card pile, discards, token piles, etc. Then you wouldn't have to go back and forth all the time. You could redock a tab if you want. ???

I agree. I had the exact same idea: the user will drag a tab and a viewport to that board will be displayed, as a side panel.
I'm renaming "shared tray" to "viewports" in the roadmap.
