Parse XML for errors inconsistent

Post by radikal »

In my game box development habit, I normally have the .ZTB zip file open in a zip file tool along with the game-box.xml and the key scenario file I'm refining. As I save new xml files, I simply drag and drop them on the zip file tool and they add/replace the existing file in the game box. I then double click on the .ZTB file to try out my changes.

I've just discovered that the XML parsing for errors doesn't occur when a game box is opened this way. Instead, I need to add it to the game library to see better error messages.

Can you consider a future update that parses .ZTB files that are opened directly in the same manner? This would speed the iterative process of developing bug-free game boxes (for me, anyway).

Thanks for the idea. However, a game box design tool under development will make that requirement unnecessary.
