Do you need help installing or using ZunTzu? Would you like to report a bug?

can't install

I get the message "your graphics card doesn't meet the minimum requirements", which seems
unlikely. It would be helpful if this message said what it found, and what it wants.
I'm running windows 2003 and have DirectX 10 on Radeon x300 graphics card.

I was hoping to get a nibble of technical interest, or at least an explanation why my hardware
isn't satisfactory. Is anyone watching this forum?

Ddyer,

Jerome would probably be the only one with the knowledge to answer your question, since he is the one-man-army behind Zuntzu (designer, developer and support) . Alas, he does not seem to be around these days. You might get an answer upon his return.

Regards,

Etienne

Hi ddyer!
Sorry for the late reply.
ZunTzu is probably looking for DirectX 9, which is quite different from DirectX 10. Maybe installing DirectX 9 will solve the issue.

I installed Directx 9, no change.

There's something I don't understand: how can you have DirectX 10 on Windows Server 2003? I thought DirectX 10 only ran on Vista or Windows Server 2008.

I'm not the one to ask about what directx will or won't work on. I ran the installer, it finished without complaint.

I just ran through "dxtest" and it seemed happy with what it saw. The drawing tests worked.

I think you need a different hypothesis.

Let's forget about the DirectX 10 anomaly for the moment...

Are you running ZunTzu on a remote computer (using Remote Desktop for instance)?
Are you running Windows inside a Virtual Machine?

Can you run other DirectX games without problem?

No, I'm running directly on a desktop. I don't have any other applications
that I recognize as directx, but (as said previously) the "dxcheck" program
seems happy with what it sees. It would be helpful if zuntzu provided more
information about why it is unhappy.
