FFClickOnce obsolete for Firefox 14.x?

Post by Pan Chaos »

Hi everyone

I just found this interesting software ZunTzu and I want to try it. But there is a problem even before instalation. In Files section of the page is the following statement:
ZunTzu uses the new ClickOnce deployment technology, which only works from Internet Explorer (or Firefox but only with the FFClickOnce extension).
When I follow the link it doesn't lead to the FFClickOnce extension (link is not up to date I guess). But more important thing is that I searched Mozilla's site for the extension and I found information that I can't get one for my version of FF (14.0.1). There is other extension avalaible called FxClickOnce, described:
Adds minimal, non-intrusive support for Microsoft ClickOnce to Firefox
but I'm not sure it's enough for ZunTzu to work.

So the questions are:
Can I run ZunTzu successfully on FF 14 or not?
Does anybody run ZunTzo without issues on newest FF?
What support for OnceClick should I use? Is this FxClickOnce good?

Thanks in advance for all helpful replies :)

Hi!

ZunTzu is a standalone program: it doesn't rely on any web browser to run.
However, its installation must be done through Internet Explorer - there used to be a way to install it from FireFox but it is now deprecated.
Once ZunTzu is installed you can revert to your favorite web browser.

Thanks for reporting this issue. I have updated the 'Files' section accordingly. ;-)
