I just noticed that on the forum the new post icon isn't working, for example this is a new post and it appears the same as every other post...?

That's because there's no such thing as a "new post" icon. Instead there's a "unread" icon. Your own posts are displayed as "already read" for you only.

In the forum index, other users will see a "bugle" icon. It indicates that a forum contains unread topics.


On the forum page, the unread topics have a "marching infantry column" icon instead of the "column in the distance" icon.

Got it, I am an idiot.

Infact right after I wrote this, maybe ten minutes later I saw the unread post appear for someone else. Just goes to show, don't talk to soon right.
