Lost ZTBs from ZT1 (AHOD)

Post by Chobham_1980 »

Hello ZT Folk, ZT needs your direct help.

As many know, the old ZT1st (ZT1) server was moved to a newer ZT2nd server (ZT2) which is less expensive. Jerome, has been working on this since last year. An effort which is time-consuming and complicated. During this time, he decided to on two issues: 1st - to open source ZT code and 2nd - HOST ZT games (like: http://limeyyankgames.co.uk/zuntzu ) rather than ZT1 reliance on links.

What does this mean? Our current site (ZT2) needs help in finding older ZT game-boxes to HOST on ZT2. Thus far, we have identified over 180+ from the old ZT1 site, mostly from our personal hard-drive libraries. But, many are still missing. Jerome was kind enough to present to me a .csv file with a list of all ZT1 games ever listed. We are missing ~200+!

Beginning, Monday 5/17/2021 - I will post a list of 'lost' ZT1 information. Starting with Vae Victus (VV) ZT Games once linked on ZT1..

Hey, Jerome is French, why not honor his work with ZT Folk designed VV games?

Over the weekend, I'll send further instructions - but start reviewing (cataloging) your personal Hard-Drive - - "All Hands on Deck" to preserve our ZT heritage.

Can you help ZT2?

Yours Truly, Rich (aka Chobham_1980)

PS Any questions, reply on this post? I can also be reached by 1) ZT PM, 2) ZT E-mail request 3) or at perez_rj at hotmail dot com
Really, feel free to contact me :)

Hi ZT Folk:

Tomorrow, I'll Post the initial list of what we have already found. These will be hosted on ZT2 https://zuntzu.com/files.htm

We don't need another copy of these ZT Boxes. It's just a way for us to keep track of what will eventually re-uploaded to https://zuntzu.com/files.htm .

Regards, Rich :)

Hi ZT Folk:

Reconstructing the old ZT1 Files section needs help for ZT2 Files relaunch. To honor Jerome, here are some old de-linked Vae Victus ZT Boxes which need to be found! Should you have a copy of these elusive ZT Boxes - - please see the contact points listed on the first post of this thread and send me the ZT Box  Because the original link was on ZT1, we can reintroduce on ZT2's file page :D

My knowledge of Vae Victus is sparse: so any additional information is helpful. Many of the ZT game-boxes sought, were NOT fount on BGG [ https://boardgamegeek.com/ ] - I suspect because the titles are in French. Also, see post #3, for what has already been found . . . Here we go :!:

Blindis frangais etc. ? No BGG Entry? A70

Re: ALL HANDS ON DECK List 2

Post by Chobham_1980 »

Hi ZT Folk:

We are on the move!

ZT is looking for ZT Boxes (ZTBs), which were once linked on ZT1st site.

For list#2: can you find these two famous ZT designers? Do you have their contact information?

Have them contact me . . . see first message on this thread for contact information - or simply contact on this post!

1) zuntzuniacos - his Spanish website [ zuntzuniacos.blogspot.com] held many ZTBs which were once linked on ZT! A conversation will help us re-upload over 20+ ZTBs! See, http://zuntzuniacos.blogspot.com/
2) D Dietch - an ATO specialist - - based on ATO parameters, can we upload his ZT Designs to a future ZT2 Files section?
See, https://www.atomagazine.com/game_aids.cfm

Please review "List 1" thread on this site. Should you have these ZTBs (or even duplicates) - send them!!

Because of "List 1," we have two new ZTBs which will might be re-uploaded to ZT2 files section.

Hi ZT Folk:

Finding olde ZTBs is difficult. We need you help in locating particular ZTBs which were once 'linked' on ZT1st site. Of course, ZT2nd site will 'hosting' ZTBs.

Here is another list of ZTBs we are in searching:

1) 03/10/2009;Robo-tory;1st;Abstract Strategy Game with little robots;Susumu Kawasaki;Susumu Kawasaki

2) 26/12/2008;Corps Command: Totensonntag;;The First Battle of Sidi Rezegh [1941;By Peter Bogdasarian;Copyright) Lock 'N Load Publishing]

3) 03/02/2012;For The Win;;Monkeys - - - Michael Eskue;Tasty Minstrel Games (2012)

Do you have any of these ZTBs?

Please send me a PM should you have any of these three ZTBs.

See the first post on this thread for contact information . . . Rich

Re: ALL HANDS ON DECK - Files Announcement

Post by Chobham_1980 »

Ladies and Gentleman - - All ZT Folks:

I am happy to announce that Jerome has provided me with a script (program) to update our current site with ZunZtu Boxes (ZTBs)! I am still working in understanding upload procedures . . . any delays are on me

In the meantime, please watch https://zuntzu.com/files.htm for HOSTED ZTBs. By Monday (9/27/2021), expect ZTBs to added based on our ZT1st site. This older site only recorded LINKS. But into the future, ZT2nd site, will directly HOST ZTBs :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Feel free to thank Jerome for his efforts in producing this groundwork program (script) :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

In the meantime, I am going back to work on behalf of THE ENTIRE ZT2 team, since I need to learn the nuances of Jerome's excellent work. A VERY BIG THANKS TO OUR TEAM! - - - Jerome, Cambronne, 'Silent C# Programmer', Ichibrothers and myself (Chobham_1980) . . . Rich

Re: ALL HANDS ON DECK - Upload Requests

Post by Chobham_1980 »

Hi ZT Folks!

A question was asked on the French Forum:

Question:

When can we begin uploading NEW ZTBs to the Files section :?:

Answer:
1) ZT Team needs time to finish uploading/hosting ZTBs from our 'spotty' records (only 250+ ZTBs from 400+ ZTB LINKS from First site)
2) Secondly, for official uploading procedures, we need the time to complete the ZT2nd site coding for complete procedures
3) Nonetheless, we are aiming for unofficial requests by contacting 'Chobham_1980' after late November or early December - - If you really want to to add one before that date, see the first post on this thread for contact information

:D :D :D "ZT is on the move!" Rich (aka Chobham_1980)

PS As of yesterday, 105 ZTBs uploaded - - some are NEW boxes: explore at https://zuntzu.com/files.htm

Re: ALL HANDS ON DECK Updates

Post by Chobham_1980 »

Hi ZT Folk!

We have received several older ZTBs which were once part of ZT1! See https://zuntzu.com/files.htm for further details.

Vae Victus games (see 3rd paine of this thread): Korsun & Operation Apocalypse have been added to our files page.

Also, we have added to the page, an older game named 'Lost Cities,' a game which won several international awards! See https://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/50/lost-cities for further information!
I want to thank the 'Anonymous' provider of this ZTB.

As time moves forward, please review AHOD. We will be asking for 'LOST' ZTBs which were once linked on ZT1!

Please feel free in contacting me - see first post on this thread! Rich

Re: ALL HANDS ON DECK - "Zargo's Lords" FOUND

Post by Chobham_1980 »

Hi ZT Folk:

We just uploaded an old ZTB which was once linked on ZT1: "Zargo's Lords" in French

Earlier today, Provence, a supporter of ZT. He noted a missing ZTB link from the ZT1 site!

It is now HOSTED on ZT2 because of his efforts 8)

After reviewing http://web.archive.org/web/201907011453 ... /files.htm , sure-enough, this ZTB was once linked on ZT1 !!!

Have you any older ZTBs in your library? Keep an eye, on this thread - - we need your help in saving our Wargaming Heritage :!:

Re: ALL HANDS ON DECK Files Update

Post by Chobham_1980 »

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, ZT Folk!

Well, easy ZTBs from ZT1 have already been hosted on ZT2 :D

As time moves forward, expect fewer/slower uploads to ZT2. We do have a more ZTB1 items to upload but are missing critical aspects, like a copy of ZTB once linked on ZTB1/descriptions/designer etc.

  I might suggest reviewing 'Wayback Machine' (see prior post) and check your personal library

Should you find a 'lost' linked ZTB and/or designer - see first post, of this thread, for contact information . . .

Regards, ZT Upload Team
