resolution 75 dpi - 150 dpi

Post by Pokke »

Got a problem with a newly designed gamebox in which I scanned and/or re-used graphics at 75dpi.
In the gamebox file, I set the resolution parameter to 75 dpi but the first time I opened it, I got a windows with error messages claiming that 75 dpi is not supported (or something like that).

Code: Select all

		front-image-file="germans1.jpg" front-resolution="75 dpi"
		back-image-file="germans2.jpg" back-resolution="75 dpi"
As all the zuntzu gameboxes are displayed on screen-resolution (which is 75 dpi) I wondered if it matters if I now change the parameter to 150 dpi? (even though the scanned jpg's are all at 75 dpi).

I could simply try that of course, to see what happens, but I'm curious to know what (and if) the resolution parameter is used for?

Hi Pokke!
The resolution parameter matters when you mix components with different resolutions.
Just pretend your graphics are at 150 dpi. It will work.

Screen resolution is 72dpi, not 75. I found ZunTzu will only read the resolution when it is 150dpi, 300dpi or 600dpi. Anything else will be read (with error) as 72dpi.
