My footprint is quickly approaching 200 Mb. Not your basic instantaneous download, and loading on my dev machine (which is admittedly a bit long in the tooth) was really slowing down. 200MB doesn't sound right to me, I'm sure something could be done about that... As for resolution, I'm using "...

I never go below 300dpi for maps, charts and cards, but I like to do counters at 1200 dpi whenever possible  Let's not forget that compression is only useful for reducing disk storage space and download speed - once the graphics files are unpacked into RAM it's simply the number of pixels used...

That's OK - you're relatively new here  But I'm very pleased to see some life injected back into the forums, and particularly your evident enthusiasm. It's a real shame (and something of a mystery to me) that ZunTzu hasn't attracted more adherents. Sure, it doesn't work natively on a Mac and P...

Yup, I pretty much learned everything through trial and error.

And of course it took longer than expected

However, I can now build and edit gameboxes very quickly - it's getting the graphics to look their best that now consumes most of my dev time...

Sure, but I just don't think that Jerome anticipated what you (and I, perhaps others also) are trying to do with the code....

We'll that's good to hear :D

And that's a tool that I could make use of myself

Are you able to share it or does everyone need to contact him directly?

Hi dulcaoin, I wouldn't describe those issues with Terrain objects as "bugs", because they simply won't arise if people build gameboxes in the prescribed (as Jerome intended/expected) way. Sure, people will screw up their xml ( very easy to do), but as you suggest - nobody is ever likely t...

Hi Dulcaoin,

I presume that you're asking about graphics encryption (otherwise I don't understand your question) in which case I'm pretty sure that only Jerome has the answer.

And yes, we all miss the man and hope that he'll come back soon :(

Those errors only announce themselves when you specifically add gameboxes to your library from the ZunTzu "Browse Library" menu. It seems to me that you didn't see them before because you "added" them to your library when you originally double-clicked to launch them, in which cas...

Most definitely - ZunTzu works almost exactly as originally intended, and has done so for years. There are only a couple of minor bugs that need fixing, but they're easily avoided if you're careful (and know about them). We'd all like it to have further development and to see its features extended, ...

He didn't reply to my last email either. I'm afraid it looks to me as if he's moved on to some other project that's more likely to bring in some money. It's a real shame, but these are tough times. I'm hopeful that he'll re-surface at some point, but a quick check on his BGG profile shows that he ha...

Hi Jerry,

Unfortunately VPG doesn't allow computer versions of their "solitaire only" games to become freely available.

No problem if it's for your own personal use of course - just don't distribute it.
